Florence is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany and of the Metropolitan City of Florence. It is the most populous city in Tuscany, with 383,083 inhabitants (as at 2013), expanding to over 1,520,000 in the metropolitan area.

Florence was a centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of that era. The Historic Centre of Florence was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. The city is noted for its culture, Renaissance art and architecture and monuments. The city also contains numerous museums and art galleries, such as the Uffizi Gallery and the Palazzo Pitti, and still exerts an influence in the fields of art, culture and politics.

Inferno in Florence: a scavenger hunt

Why not to live in Florence an authentic adventure? Basing on Dan Brown’s novel Inferno we have set up a themed treasure hunt among Renaissance monuments.

Imagine that a dangerous maniac has decided to follow the lead of an evil scientist portrayed in the book, Zobrist. Just like him, he wants to decrease the Earth’s population by… creating an engineered plague! Fortunately, he has left hints for his followers that we can exploit. The aim of the game is to find and disarm the lethal virus.

Participants of this treasure hunt will:

  • follow tangled hints,
  • solve enigmas linked to history of Florence and especially to Dante,
  • meet mysterious characters.
